Welcome

I am a seasoned psychologist who specializes in a thoughtful, in depth approach unique to each individual. I have had my Ph.D. degree in Clinical Psychology since 1983.  I have won the "Best of" Award 15 times.

I work with individual adults and couples. My orientation is contemporary psychoanalytic, which includes emphasis on your own personal history and how it affects you today, attachment,   looking at your significant relationships, and how your feelings affect your behavior. I also incorporate a variety of other schools of thought  and  techniques depending on your needs.

We work together to help you understand yourself, your relationships, and what is really going on inside of you.  I focus on the inner changes you need in order to resolve your issues.  Expect fundamental personal change and growth.

Common problems I work on include:  changing repeating patterns of problems, changing   coping habits which are not working, stopping self-defeating behavior, preventing the past from interfering with the present, healing painful emotional experiences and trauma, self understanding, improving relationships and taking control of your life.

I will provide you with a safe environment where feeling understood and cared for is primary. Learn  to improve yourself and your life.
